Gantey Gompa trek is a lowland trekking route in one of the glacial valley in Bhutan, starts from Phobjikha valley at the elevation 3000m. This easy and beautiful hike to the Gantey gompa is also known as Gogona Trek. Gangtey valley, combination century old beautiful traditional houses and the old Gangtey monastery, is one of the most beautiful places in Bhutan.Gantey monastery, the final destination or the manin attraction of this trip, was established in the 17th century.
An experience to explore the isolated valleys of Gantey Gompa, Phobjikha valley, Gogana and Kothoka is an awe-inspiring event which is enough to make it memorable for lifetime.
Day 01 :Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02 :Half day sightseeing at Kathmandu and Bhutan preparation.
Day 03 :Fly to Paro and transfer to Thimpu.
Day 04 :Sightseeing around Thimpu.
Day 05 :Drive 135 km (4 and half hours) to Gangtey 3000m.
Day 06 :Trek 14 km (5 to 6 hours) to Gogana, 3100m.
Day 07 :Trek 15 km (5 to 6 hours) to Khotokha, 2790m.
Day 08 :Trek 12 km (5 hours) to Tikke Zampa, 1500m and transfer to Punakha 1310m.
Day 09 :Drive 125 km (4 hours) to Paro, 2194m.
Day 10 :Sightseeing around Paro.
Day 11 :Fly out to Kathmandu 1380m, transfer to Hotel.
Day 12 :Final departure.
