Nepal, though geographically small but it is immense in context of culture, religion, and traditions. With respect to all these aspects, Nepal is able to maintain its tourism business. We can say religions and cultures are the backbone of tourism of Nepal.

Nepal's customs and cultures is not same everywhere. It differs from region to region and people to people. Though different and varies from each other, Nepalese people (Nepali) have a heart of gold who always are ready to help each other's and share joy and happiness.

People:

People of Nepal are one of its greatest assets – adaptable, hospitable, hard-working and loyal – many people speak English too, and Nepal has the natural human capital to contribute a great deal to the tourism industry.

According to the travel and tourism competitiveness report by world economic forum (2013), Nepal is one of the friendliest nations on Earth – which also is a great tourism assets.

Culture:

Culture refers to the style and behaviors what we believe and what we follow. Culture do play very important role in our life. It makes us able to distinguish the right things and prevent us to accomplish non-acceptable things. Culture actually helps to build up the moral aspect of people. Nepal holds so many culture and each of the culture gives us the true motive of existing.

Religion:

Nepal is a secular state and thus Nepal is a residence for people with different religions. People of Nepal follow the religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Jainism, Sikhism, Bon, and many more. The people with all these religions do have different existences and way of living but there is always unity in diversity. The major religion followed in Nepal are Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and Christianity. Hinduism and Buddhism have a history since centuries. They always have cooperated with each other and helped to promote ones religion. Buddha is widely worshipped by both Buddhists and Hindus of Nepal.

Customs:

The diversity in Nepal in terms of origin again makes chamber for countless sets of customs. Various traditions and customs are followed which seems to be very interesting & new to the rest. Arrange marriage seems more preferable in Nepal. Nepalese do not eat beef. There are several reasons for this, one being that the Hindus worship cow. Cow is also the national animal of Nepal. Another interesting concept among Nepalis is division of pure and impure.
