Everest Base Camp & Island Peak

We have enjoyed the guidance and care of Broad Adventure while trekking in The Himalayas in four different occasions. Keshab and Kiran Khanal are the reason why we are a four time repeat customers. Their extensive knowledge of Himalayan Trekking coupled with their exceptional sense of care, makes trekking in Nepal a very enjoyable experience. Their friendly approach and attention to detail, provided us the necessary motivation and tools for several successful and happy trips. In 2015, we were trekking to EBC when The Himalayas were hit by a disastrous earthquake. There was confusion everywhere and even though there were very scarce services and supplies, we never went thirsty or hungry while waiting to be evacuated from the mountains back to Kathmandu. Our last trip was done March 2019 and once again, we were given exceptional service and friendship. We are now planning our next trek to be done in 2020. We can&#39;t enough of Nepal, its friendly people, rich heritage and magnificent scenery.</p>

An adventure trekking through beautiful Langtang Valley.

In 2005 I was lucky enough to live my dream and go to Nepal with a friend to trek through the mountains.  The day we touched down in Kathmandu they announced all the roads in and out of Kathmandu were closed for 10 days.  As we were travelling on a limited time frame it meant we were not going to have enough time to trek. I was devastated and felt like my dream was slipping away right before my eyes.  We had no idea what to do.  They say we all have a guardian Angel that is there for us when we need them.  Well mine was and bought Keshab into our lives the very next day.  Within hours Keshab, despite the road closures and associated problems, had worked out a way to take us on a 16 day trekking adventure through the beautiful Langtang area.  Keshab arranged it all for us. Everything was as he promised we had no issues and our food, transport and accommodation was just brilliant. Keshab’s knowledge of mountain areas in Nepal is very impressive and it was great to learn details that we would otherwise not have known.  Keshab speaks a number of languages including English which made things so much easier as my limited Nepalese would have made travelling quite difficult.    It was the trip of a lifetime and one, thanks to Keshab, I will never forget.  We started the trek with a guide and ended it with a very special friend.

That friendship has continued over the years.  In that time Keshab has gone on to set up his own adventure company.    It says a lot about him as times have been hard for the Nepalese people and he has worked very hard to achieve this.

Keshab has always displayed a genuine   concern for the Nepalese people and environment.  It was something that impressed me when I met him in 2005.  His company has been founded on those values.  All his adventures are environmentally friendly and his company actively supports many of the less fortunate rural areas.  His company offers many wide and varied adventure tours and he also offers humanitarian adventures that give people the opportunity to be part of making a difference in Nepal. It says a lot about who he is and I am proud to call him my friend.

In 2010 my partner Ian and I returned to Nepal with habitat for humanity to complete a house build.  We only had a few days for R & R between the build which was on the eastern border of Nepal.  We did not think we would get any chance to spend any time in the rural areas due to the short time frames and distances from the build.

Once again Keshab stepped up and arranged it all for us and we had a magical time.  We were so tired after the build so it was a blessing to have Keshab there for us arranging it all.  We really could not have done it without him.  At very short notice he also arranged a whirlwind tour around Kathmandu for Ian as he had not seen much of Kathmandu before.  He still talks about it now and what we will do when we go back to spend time with our friend Keshab.

While there are many trekking company’s and guides in Nepal Keshab’s company is the only one we would ever use.  His knowledge of his country, his friendliness and trustworthiness are unquestionable.  We are always recommending Keshab to others and are happy to be contacted if you would like to talk to us about Keshab and his company.

Keep up the good work Keshab and we are looking forward to returning to Nepal to  see you and the family again soon.

Julie and Ian

Great trip , Excellent service

I traveled with Kesh last spring when we went on the Everest Base Camp Trek. Kesh was very experiences in guiding our group through the trail and very accommodating with certain parts. I fell sick on my second night and Kesh was well prepared with the right medicine to help me out. He knows everyone at every stop and makes sure that service is great. He knows these trails in and out so he has answers to all of your questions. It was a great trip and I look forward to returning once again, definitely going through him.

After 6 years a great friendship created between us and nowdays he is much more than one of the best nepali guides!Wish you all,Gods of Nepal, always by your side.

My Great Trip to Nepal

I am originally from California and have always dreamed of hiking through Nepal. I went with my girlfriend on the Everest Base Camp Trek. I am really glad that we went with this company because of our great Nepali guide, Keshab Khanal. He spoke English well, was knowledgeable about the surroundings, knew all the best teahouses, and made the entire trip very fun. Even after the trip, we have stayed in contact with Keshab through emails. Our porter, Robin, was also very nice. The trip ran smoothly, from the pickup at the airport in Kathmandu to the hotels and trekking. The Sherpa villages, temples, people, and surrounding mountains are unlike anything in the US! The sheer magnitude and scale of the towering Himalayas is truly remarkable and puts our humble mountains of the Sierra Nevada in California to shame. Hands down, one of the best adventures of my life!

Everest Base camp Trek

We travelled to Nepal to fulfil a life-long dream of trekking to Everest Base Camp. This was the most amazing and exciting adventure, rich in unbelievable and unimaginable defining experiences. Keshab Khanal guided us from arrival in Kathmandu and (discretely) co-ordinated our journey to the top of the world! Letting us enjoy unregimented freedom but always available for advice and direction. It is doubtless that our experience was enriched by Keshab’s knowledge, commentary and sharing. With such an amiable nature, Keshab was warmly greeted as a friend by all that we encountered and obviously holds admirable status in the Nepalese trekking and guiding communities. Attention to detail with Kumar our porter, Lukla flights, accommodation and even menu selections, Keshab enabled us to savour every experience available as visitors to his magnificent country. Upon return to Kathmandu, our incredible experience continued by casual touring of the City and its many unique characteristics. We wish Keshab every success with Broadadventure and have no doubt that his attention to detail, extensive knowledge and personable character will combine to ensure exceptional client satisfaction. Good luck Keshab! See you again !

Professional, organized, stress-free trekking

I did a trek with Keshap to Everest Base Camp this past spring with my dad. From the minute we stepped out of the airport in Kathmandu to the day we left we were completely taken care of. Keshap’s english is fantastic and he was very patient with all our questions. He was very attuned to everyone’s needs and pace throughout the trek and came well prepared for any emergency or illness. A great way to explore the Himalayas without the stress of planning a trip yourself. Highly recommended!

Annapurna Circuit Trek

My wife Amy and I did the Annapurna Circuit, as far as Muktinath, with Keshab Khanal in 2007. It goes without saying (but bears emphasizing) that scenery absolutely breathtaking, but the people, animals, buildings and culture were an equally incredible experience. Keshab guided us with great care and skill. I asked him endless questions about Nepal, its” people, and the natural surrounds – he answered each one helpfully and knowledgeably. He also helped us with decisions about altitude, food, water, clothing, etc so that we were able to enjoy our trek feeling comfortable and safe. Most valuably, Keshab was friendly, trustworthy, and helpful – we would recommend him to anyone traveling to Nepal.

My amazing Annapurna Trek

I was on trekking from 24.10.10 to 5.11.10 in the half part of Annapurna circuit from Bhulbhule to Jomsom. This was the third time I travelled to Nepal. First time in 2006 my man and I had the opportunity to do the other part of Annapurna circuit with Keshab Khanal as a guide. Keshab was our precious companion though and not only our guide. He was always looking after us with discreteness, he was giving all the information we wanted and advised us suitably in any case. He helped us to enjoy the greatness of the Himalayan nature and people. So, the second time we chose to have Keshab as our guide again. Besides, by that time Keshab had become also a friend of us. This time, the third one, I trekked alone but I knew that I could rely on Keshab because of his experience and his awareness and so I did. I am very happy that Keshab can give his high quality professional services through this new company. I trust him and I would recommend his company to anyone.

Ghorepani – Poonhill Trek

Namaste!

This was my first time to Nepal, and I had an amazing time on my trek. From the first day, my guide and porter met me at the airport and were with me the entire time. We were able to see many beautiful landscapes and enjoy the Diwali Festival in the Anapurna Mountains, an experience I will never forget. My guide and porter did everything to help me with my trip. They explained about the history and culture of Nepal, they helped me carry my back pack everywhere (I still am amazed how much they can carry while climbing the Himalayas) and also went at a pace that I felt comfortable. My 8 day trek was an incredible adventure, and I highly recommend Broad Adventure for trekking in Nepal! They are a family business, very professional, but also like a family away from home. It does not matter if you are traveling alone or in a group, they will do their best to meet your needs.

I plan on coming back in the near future and hope to do the Everest trek. Until then, I will do my best to get in top shape for my next trek!
