The Helambu circuit trek, a short trek walking along the outer line and buffer zone of Langtang National park in Helambu region, is a good trek for people who don't have much time to spend in Nepal and for them who have a problem getting to the high altitude but still have keen interest to experience the joy of trekking in Nepal. Additionally, this trek do not require any special fitness level, a normal healthy person can complete this trek and the maximum altitude you gain in this trekking is 3596m at Tharepati.
The magnificent Himalayan view from Chisopani and Tharepati, the unique Sherpa culture of Helambu region, walking through the dense forests of Shivapuri and Langtang National Park are the major attractions of this trip.
Chisopani, Kutumsang, Tharepati, Malemchigaun, Tarkeghyang and sermathang are the major villages you pass through; and this trip offers the stunning views of Himalayan panorama which includes Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, gauri Shankar and more eastern Himalaya.
Normally, this 6 days trek to Helambu starts from Sundarijal in Kathmandu and ends at Melamchi Bazaar but it is possible to follow the itinerary in reverse.
Day 01 :Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02 :Rest and preparation day/sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.
Day 03 :Drive to Sundarijal and trek to Chisopani.
Day 04 :Trek to Kutumsang.
Day 05 :Trek to Tharepati.
Day 06 :Trek to Tarkeghyang
Day 07 :Trekt to Kakani
Day 08 :Trek to Melamchi Bazaar and drive to Kathmandu.
Day 09 :Leisure day in Kathmandu.
Day 10 :Transfer to the international airport for final departure or transfer for other extended trip.
