Dhaulagiri sanctuary Trek, a freshly discovered trekking trail to Dhaulagiri south Base camp at the elevation of 4050m, is a moderate difficulty level trekking route in Dhaulagiri region. Spectacular views of Dhaulagiri range, Annapurna range, Churen Himal and Nilgiri can be observed during this journey and major highlight of this trek is Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m, the seventh highest mountain of the world. Beside the picturesque views of the white capped mountains and distinct flora and fauna, this route offers an opportunity to explore unique local culture and their lifestyle while staying in local houses throughout the trek.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01 :Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

Day 02 :Kathmandu to Beni by bus and to Jhi by jeep (1680m/11hrs).

Day 03 :Trek from Jhi to Ghyasikharka (1865m/7hrs).

Day 04 :Trek from Ghyasikharaka to Phedi Camp (2466m/6hrs).

Day 05 :Trek from Phedi Camp to Odar Camp (3189m/6hrs).

Day 06 :Trek from Odar Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4055m/6hrs).

Day 07 :Trek from Dhaulagiri BC to Chhari (2020m/7hrs).

Day 08 :Trek from Chhari to Dagnam (1720m/7hrs) and drive to Beni by jeep (830m/2hrs).

Day 09 :Drive from Beni to Kathamndu by bus (1380m/9hrs)

Day 10 :Trip ends/transfer to airport for final departure

What is Not Included

  • Lunch and dinner whilst in Kathmandu.
  • Travel insurance which covers emergency evacuation and medical (obligatory).
  • Sightseeing/Monument entrance fees in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
  • International airfare and airport departure tax.
  • Nepal entry visa, you can obtain a visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (bring accurate USD cash and two passport photographs).
  • Altitude chamber (PAC) or oxygen.
  • Expenses of personal nature, Bottled water, alcoholic and cold drinks.
  • Personal trekking Equipment.
  • Excess baggage charges (if you have more than 15 kg luggage, cargo charge is around $1.5 per kg).
  • Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, early return from mountain (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary.
  • Tips for trekking staffs: Guide, assistant and porters, (Tipping is expected.)
