Massive fire broke out at one and only hunting reserve in Nepal, The reserve is covers an area of 1325 square kilometers in the Myagdi, Rukum and Baglung districts. Dhorpatan Hunting reserve is famous for legal hunting of Himalayan Thar and Naur (Blue Sheep). The fire caught the part of Myagdi district near Gurja Village. Due to the fire many wild animal like Naurs, Thars, Monkeys and dears, birds like Lophophorus (Danphe, the national bird of Nepal) various species of pheasants and many other endangered flora and fauna has been destroyed.
A group of 10 police man has reached to Gurjagaon (Gurja Village) to extinguish the blaze; walk 10 hours from the nearest Takam Police Station.
