Chulu East peak, situated at the height of 6584m at the north of Annapurna Himalayan range in manang district of Nepal, is one of the well-known trekking peaks in western Himalaya. This challenging trip to Chulu East Climbing is combined with the famous Annapurna circuit trek which includes the biggest pass of the world known as Thorang-La Pass. Summit of Chulu East offers a panoramic view of entire Annapurna Himalayan range. 

The itinerary of this trip can be customized in many ways. Because of the newly built motor able road, the trekking nowadays can be started from Chame "the district head quarter of Manang District". But we suggest to begin your trek from lower altitude like Bhulbhule or Jagat which gives you better opportunity to be well acclimatized.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01 :Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 02 :Preparation day at Kathmandu

Day 03 :Drive (approx. 10 hrs) from Kathmandu to Syange or Jagat village via Besishahar , stay overnight at lodge.

Day 04 :Trek to Dharapani, stay overnight at lodge.

Day 05 :Trek to Chame, stay overnight at lodge.

Day 06 :Trek to Pisang, stay overnight at lodge.

Day 07 :Trek to Manang, stay overnight at lodge.

Day 08 :Acclimatization day at Manang.

Day 09 :Trek to Yak Kharka, stay overnight at lodge.

Day 10 :Trek to Chulu Base Camp, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 11 :Trek to Chulu High Camp, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 12 :Summit Chulu East or Acclimatization day if needed or reserved day if in case of bad weather.

Day 13 :Summit Chulu East and back to Base Camp, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 14 :Trek to Leddar, stay overnight at lodge.

Day 15 :Trek to Thorang Phedi, stay overnight at lodge.

Day 16 :Trek to Muktinath via Thorang Pass (5416 M.), stay overnight at lodge.

Day 17 :Trek to Marpha via Kagbeni (or stop at Jomsom to take flight to Pokhara), stay overnight at lodge.

Day 18 :Drive or fly out to Pokhara, stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 19 :Relax day at Pokhara, stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 20 :Drive to Kathmandu, stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 21 :Sightseeing or Leisure day at Kathamndu.

Day 22 :Final departure.

  • General Climbing equipment such as Rope, Ice Screw, Snow Bar etc.
  • The required number of local staff and Porters to carry your luggage and to assist you during the trek.
  • Food, accommodation, salary, insurance, equipment, medicine for all trekking staffs.
  • All fee of national parks and conservation areas.
  • Down Jacket and sleeping bag by Broad Adventure (which needs to be returned after the trek.)

What is Not Included

  • Lunch and dinner whilst in Kathmandu.
  • Sightseeing/Monument entrance fees in Kathmandu.
  • Your travel insurance (compulsory), which covers emmergency evacuation.
  • International airfare and airport departure tax.
  • Nepal entry visa, you can obtain easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. (US$ 25 or equivalent foreign currency is required to obtain Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 15 days. Likewise, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 30 days can be obtained by paying US $ 40 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 90 days can be obtained by paying US $ 100. You will also require 2 passport size photos.)
  • Items of a personal nature such as alcoholic drinks, Hot and cold drinks, laundry etc.
  • Personal trekking and Climbing Equipment(Can be rented in Kahtmandu).
  • Tips for trekking and climbing personnel. (Tipping is expected).
